National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

Astro Teller is the co-founder of Alphabet subsidiary “X.” He is the grandson of Edward Teller, the famous physicist often considered the father of the hydrogen bomb. 

Teller received his PhD in artificial intelligence from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a Hertz Foundation Fellow. He was the co-founder of the company BodyMedia. Teller has helmed Google X since 2010, overseeing various projects including Google Glass and Google’s driverless car program.

Teller has published two novels, “Exegesis” and “Among These Savage Thoughts,” and one non-fiction book, “Sacred Cows.”
