Barbara Martin is a Manhattan Project veteran.
 

Martin graduated from Newton High in 1943 and then attended Boston University.

During the war, Martin worked with her father at Stone & Webster Engineering as a secretary, preparing and delivering many Manhattan Project documents to clients. She only realized this when she received a certificate thanking her for her service at the end of the war.

Martin died on September 19, 2017. She was 91.
