Edgar Sengier (1879 – 1963) was the director of Union Miniere du Haut Katanga. After being warned by British scientists regarding the potential danger were the uranium ore to fall into the wrong hands, Sengier decided to transport half the uranium stockpile from the Congo to the United States in 1940.
Natalie Marshall worked at Los Alamos on the Manhattan Project. She was married to Shad Marshall, who also worked on the project.
Theodore Boinski (1920-2008) was a laboratory assistant at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago during the Manhattan Project.
A. E. Ballard worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
