Bruno Yurgaites was a janitor at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Lab (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
In 1942, James E. Fix, was a 16-year-old freshman at Texas A&M University. Fix was drafted into the Army, and, after basic training, twenty men in his unit were chosen for the Army Specialized Training Program (ASTP).
DeSelm worked in the United States Engineer District Office.
Thomas S. Grennan served as a 2nd lieutenant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron.
