Gerry Pawlicki was an American physicist. Pawlicki was born in 1921. He received a B.S. in physics at De Paul University in Chicago, and soon after was hired to work on the Manhattan Project at the Chicago Met Lab as a member of the instruments division.

Werner H. Haak was a laboratory assistant at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Charles Allen Thomas (1900-1982) was an American chemist and industrial leader. Thomas was recruited to join the Manhattan Project in 1942 by General Groves, who offered him a postion as a deputy to Robert Oppenheimer, the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory in New Mexico.
