Richard Fox worked in the shop at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Richard Malenfant worked for the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) for many years in health safety and radiation detection.
Elmer began working with the Manhattan Project in 1941. He was one of the first people to arrive at Oak Ridge and experienced first-hand some of the difficulties there with cyclotrons and isotope separation.
