Maurice “Maury” Shapiro was an American physicist who studied underwater explosions at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
Jose Baca moved with his wife and four children from Albuquerque to Los Alamos, NM in April of 1944. While at Los Alamos, Jose worked as a carpenter and machinist.
