National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

Cathy Dvorak’s is the daughter of Colonel Clifford Heflin, the Commanding Officer of Wendover Air Base. The family moved to Wendover in December of 1944, before Dvorak was born. She did not learn of her father's invovlembet in the Manhattan Project until she was a teenager, when her father chose to share his expereince. Dvorak is one of Colonel Heflin's four daughters. She married her husband, Darrell Dvorak, in 1972.
