Charles D. “Don” Albury served as a Captain in the 1027th Air Material Squadron and as a commander on the Great Artiste, one of the planes that flew in the 1945 mission to bomb Hiroshima. He also flew in Bockscar as the co-pilot in the mission to Nagasaki.
