Meyer Steinberg is a chemical engineer and a veteran of the Special Engineer Detachment. After graduating from Cooper Union College with a degree in chemical engineering, Steinberg was drafted and placed in the Special Engineer Detachment at Oak Ridge.
R. L. Earle worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.

John W. Burr was a research assistant in the Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) at the University of Chicago during the Manhattan Project.
