Lawrence Bartell was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on February 2, 1923. In 1944, after completing his studies at the University of Michigan, Bartell joined Glenn Seaborg's uranium research team.
Thomas V. Moore was the chief engineer of the University of Chicago Met Lab and oversaw the construction of Chicago Pile-1.
Williams worked at the 300 Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
