James Van Pelt served as a captain in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron of the 509th Composite Group. He flew in the Great Artiste as a navigator during the mission to bomb Hiroshima.
Edith King worked on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. She and her husband, L. D. P. King, were good friends of Edith Warner and frequented Warner’s tea room.
Angell worked at the 100 F Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
Schneider worked at the 300 Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
