Colleen Frahm Lockmiller was a lab technician in the Y-12 Plant at Oak Ridge, Tennessee from 1944 to 1947. She arrived at Oak Ridge at only 18 years old, working for the civilian contractor Tennessee Eastman. Lockmiller performed chemical analysis on the uranium product "yellow cake." She remained in the Oak Ridge area after the war.
