Leon O. Jacobson was Associate Director of the Health Division and Section Chief of H-I, Clinical Medicine and Medical Research, at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Frederick J. Shon (1926-2000) worked on the Manhattan Project at Columbia University. Born in New York City in 1926, Shon was recruited to work on the Manhattan Project while pursuing his undergraduate degree at Columbia.
Bob Emigh was in the Navy and worked with Deak Parsons on telemetry for the bombs. He was assigned as the science officer for the planned third bomb.
