Edward Shapiro was an American scientist and Manhattan Project veteran. After receiving a Ph.D. from Purdue University, Shapiro worked as a research associate for the Manhattan Project at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago and at Oak Ridge.
Lieutenant William Dodd was recruited for the Manhattan Project while recuperating from injuries received in the 1943 invasion of Bougainville Island in the South Pacific.
Thomas Brown worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Ruby Kidd worked for the Kellex Corporation at the K-25 Plant.
