Isabella Karle (1921-2017) was a pioneer in the scientific field of crystallography. Her work on molecular structures had a sweeping influence across many scientific fields by allowing, for example, scientists to study nerve transmissions and aiding chemists in synthesizing pest repellents.
Kelly worked in the 100 D Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
Winston Grice was a millwright at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
