Margaret “Marge” (Hibner) Wickersham grew up in the Fairview area of Española, NM. During the Manhattan Project, she commuted by bus from Española to Los Alamos, where she worked as a maid and as a cashier in the commissary.
Frederick E. Brown served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the assistant engineer/scanner regularly assigned to the B-29 Some Punkins.
William Spindel was a member of the Special Engineer Detachments at Oak Ridge and Los Alamos. Spindel worked in a group that helped make coatings for the implosion bomb.
