James K. Elder, Jr. served as a technical sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the flight engineer regularly assigned first to Luke the Spook and later to Big Stink.
Raymond Dujack was a young lab technician at the Special Alloyed Materials (SAM) Laboratories at Columbia University.
