John Arnold joined the Manhattan Project in 1943 when the MED tasked his employer, the Kellogg Corporation, with developing a special barrier for the gaseous diffusion plant in Oak Ridge.

Juanita Fristoe worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Thomas Guilfoyle was a member of the Military Police at the University of Chicago's Metallurgical Lab from 1943 to 1945.
