Leo Szilard (1898-1964) was a Hungarian-American physicist and inventor. EARLY LIFE Leo Szilard was born Leo Spitz on February 11, 1898 in Budapest, Hungary.
Karl Walther was a glassblower for Columbia University and Brookhaven National Laboratory. During the Manhattan Project, Walther worked as a senior glassblower at the Nash Garage Building at Columbia, where scientists developed the gaseous diffusion process.
Jano Haley worked on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. He was married to Ruth Haley, who also worked at Los Alamos.
