E. P. Baker worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Thomas O. Jones volunteered to join the Army before the start of WWII. As the war began to unfold in Europe, Jones was placed in a sub-organization of the Army called the Counterintelligence Corps.
Elmer began working with the Manhattan Project in 1941. He was one of the first people to arrive at Oak Ridge and experienced first-hand some of the difficulties there with cyclotrons and isotope separation.
William Scivally was a staff worker at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
Okey B. Ellison was a security guard at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
