Albert Bartlett was born in Shanghai. He went on to attend Colgate University. After graduation, Bartlett was selected for the Manhattan Project because of his background in physics.
H. W. Ross worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Blanche J. Lawrence was an African-American research assistant in the Health Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
M. A. Sanders served in the 390th Air Service Group.
