National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

Eleanor Irvine Davisson was Ernest O. Lawrence’s secretary at the University of California Berkeley from October 1945 until his death in 1958. Irvine helped Lawrence administer the busy Radiation Laboratory and served as his confidant on many issues.
