Donald Ames

Donald Ames joined the Manhattan Project as a G.I. at the University of Chicago in 1943. Ames worked under Nobel Prize chemist Glenn Seaborg at the Metallurgical Laboratory, where he helped determine the chemical properties of plutonium and developed a rapid method for measuring the radium concentration in solutions.

Howard J. Galusha

Howard Galusha worked on aircraft maintenance for the 509th Composite Group, 393rd Bombardment Squadron in Wendover, Utah and on Tinian Island in the South Pacific.

Eugene G. Zukas

Eugene G. Zukas worked at Oak Ridge and Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project. Zukas received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1942.
