Louis Bernard Werner was an American chemist. Werner received a B.S. from the University of Idaho, and was working on his doctorate at the Univeristy of Chicago at Berkeley when he was recruited to work on the Manhattan Project at the Chicago Met Lab.
George Meyers was a glassblower at the SAM Laboratory at Columbia University. He was only a teenager, but had a talent for glass blowing by hand that was needed by Columbia's scientists.
LeRoy Shackelton served in the First Ordnance Squadron.
Carrie Johnson was a laboratory assistant in the Chemistry Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
