Edith King worked on the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos. She and her husband, L. D. P. King, were good friends of Edith Warner and frequented Warner’s tea room.
Joseph E. Draley was a research associate at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
William P. Norris was an associate bio-chemist at the University of Chicago Met Lab. After a stint at the Dow Chemical Company, he joined the Manhattan Project in July 1944.
