Forrest H. Murray was a research associate in the Theoretical Group and a mathematician at the University of Chicago Met Lab. He was later transferred to Oak Ridge and signed a petition similar to the Szilard petition. In 1946, he and Alvin Weinberg co-authored the first paper to describe a pressurized-water nuclear reactor
