Kermit K. Beahan served as a captain in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the bombardier on The Great Artiste and flew on the Hiroshima mission.
Eugene L. Nooker worked as a part of Project Alberta, the team that transported and assembled the two atomic bombs preceeding the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Theodore J. Neubert was a research associate in the graphite research section at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
