James R. Corliss served as a technical sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned to work as a flight engineer on the Up An’ Atom but did not fly in that plane during the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Ernest Omar Wollan was a physicist who helped pioneer the fields of health physics and neutron diffraction.
H. B. Hansard, Jr. worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
