Warren Sharp was a chemical engineer employed at the K-25 Plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Sharp assisted with the gaseous diffusion process as a civilian after unsuccessfully trying to enlist in military service.
Ralph Alexander Gardner-Chavis (1922-) is a chemist and pioneer of hard plastics who worked at the University of Chicago’s Met Lab during the Manhattan Project.
