Ralph Nobles was one of three brothers to work on the Manhattan Project. He and his brother William worked at Los Alamos, while brother Robert was at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory.
Asper A. Artripe served in the 603rd Air Engineering Squadron.
Howard A. Thompson served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Straight Flush.
Ellahugh Wayman worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
