James R. Corliss served as a technical sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned to work as a flight engineer on the Up An’ Atom but did not fly in that plane during the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Willard C. Cone was from Nashville, Tennessee. In 1943, he moved to Oak Ridge with his wife, Ruth Elizabeth Cone.
Rapier worked at the 200 West area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
