Gilbert P. Mathis

Gilbert Mathis was an electrical engineer at Los Alamos from 1943 to 1946. He was recruited for the Manhattan Project as a member of the US Army Signal Corps. Mathis and his wife, Norma Wentworth, lived in Bandolier, New Mexico before housing at Los Alamos was available. After leaving Los Alamos, Gilbert served at the US Navy Mine Defense Lab in Panama City, Florida.
