Adele Koskosky was a laboratory technician in the Chemistry Division at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker (1912-2007) was a German theoretical physicist, and later philosopher, who worked on Nazi Germany’s atomic bomb program.
Herbert E. Kubitschek (1920-1989) was an American biologist and physicist. He studied under Enrico Fermi at the University of Chicago and was present when Chicago Pile-1, the world’s first self-sustained nuclear chain reaction, went critical on December 2, 1942.
