Beatrice Foreman was a laboratory technician in the Chemistry Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Madonna Elaine Thennes was in born 1925. When she had just graduated from high school in Pocahontas, Arkansas, in 1943, her father told her the military had good-paying jobs for civilians in a new place in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Michael Vickio was a member of the Military Police at Los Alamos, working on post security and the complex’s motor pool.
