Everist L. Bednorz served as a second lieutenant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the pilot regularly assigned to the B-29 Some Punkins.
Waldrop arrived at Oak Ridge in early 1944, directly after receiving his Army basic training. At Oak Ridge, he worked at the Y-12 plant during the Manhattan Project.
E. R. Spangler worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
