Irene LaViolette was born in Manhattan in 1920. After she finished kindergarten, her family moved to Greece, where her grandparents lived, due to diminishing economic prospects in the United States.
Donald MacMillan arrived in Los Alamos on May 14, 1944. He was an avid figure skater, and worked for Los Alamos National Laboratory for many years.
Henry Linschitz worked in Project Alberta, which transported and assembled the Little Boy and Fat Man atomic bombs.
Galland worked at the 200 West Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
