Martin Skinner was born and raised in Michigan, just outside of Detroit. He was trained in Chemical Engineering at Michigan State University before joining the army.
Claude R. Eatherly served as a major in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the commander on the Straight Flush during the Hiroshima mission.
