Clare Whitehead joined the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) in 1943. After training in the Manhattan Engineer District and working in Oak Ridge, she transferred to Hanford, where she was a secretary for military intelligence.

Eleanor Blanchard served as a sergeant in the Women’s Auxiliary Corps during World War II. She worked as a typist at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project and also operated the switchboard for the Tech Area.
Ralph Nelson was a staff worker at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
