V. Alexander Nedzel was a research assistant at the University of Chicago Met Lab. After the Manhattan Project, he worked at the Institute for Nuclear Studies and was head of the Aerospace Division at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
Grace R. Harvey was a laboratory technician in the Health Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Elsie Pierce was a motor pool driver at Los Alamos during the Second World War. She joined the Women’s Army Corps after her older brother joined the Army.
