Lawrence H. Johnston was an American physicist. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1940, Johnston followed his mentor Luis Alvarez to MIT.
Ralph Steinhardt was a member of the Special Engineer Detatchment (SED) at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
Howard A. Thompson served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Straight Flush.
