Horace Owen France was an associate biologist at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Joseph M. DiJulio served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned as a radar operator on the Up An’ Atom, but did not fly in that plane during the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Bernard Sesko served in the Special Engineer Detatchment (SED) at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
