Clyde Stanley Shields was born on December 28, 1918 in Wichita, Kansas. After graduating from Mitchell High School in South Dakota, in May of 1936, Shields enlisted in the South Dakota National Guard.
Halloran worked in the United States Engineer District Office.
Frank J. Fortine served in the Special Engineering Detachment and Project Alberta, the group that transported the first atomic bombs to Tinian Island.
F. A. Lehmann worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
