Gus Essig began working on the Manhattan Project in May, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio. Essig was selected to work in the highly classified initiator program and spent several months at Los Alamos learning how to design and construct initiators.
Heath worked at the 200 East Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
Raemer E. Schreiber (1910-1998) was an American physicist. Schreiber joined the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos in November 1943 along with his wife, Marguerite Schreiber.
