Joseph M. DiJulio served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned as a radar operator on the Up An’ Atom, but did not fly in that plane during the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Joseph I. Gulick served as a technical sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Up An’ Atom.
Harold Ninger was a staff worker at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
