Albert Bartlett was born in Shanghai. He went on to attend Colgate University. After graduation, Bartlett was selected for the Manhattan Project because of his background in physics.
Edward J. Fredrick was a research assistant at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.

W. W. Johnson worked for the Kellex Corporation at the K-25 Plant.
