Chien-Shiung Wu (1912-1997) was a Chinese American physicist. During the Manhattan Project, she worked at Columbia University, helping develop the process for separating uranium metal into U-235 and U-238 isotopes by gaseous diffusion.
Bernard Peters (1910-1993,) born Bernhard Pietrokowski, was a Polish-born physicist. Peters was born in Poland and later moved to Germany.
W. D. Lavers worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Phyllis Smith worked for the H. K. Ferguson Company.
