Joseph M. DiJulio

Joseph M. DiJulio served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned as a radar operator on the Up An’ Atom, but did not fly in that plane during the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Carl Helmholz

Carl Helmholz (1915-2003) was an American physicist involved with the Manhattan Project.  Helmholz was born on May 24, 1915 in Evanston, Illinois.

D.M. Smith

Smith worked at the 300 Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
