James H. Coon was an American physicist. He worked on the Manhattan Project at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory and at Los Alamos. He helped calibrate instruments for the 100-ton TNT test and the Trinity test. After the war, he had a long career at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
