John C. Pennock attended Cornell University, where he studied engineering. He was a member of the Special Engineer Detachment at Oak Ridge, where he worked as a technical engineer at the K-25 Plant.
Sir Rudolf Peierls (1907-1995) was a German-born British physicist. In March 1940, Peierls and fellow collegue Otto Frisch co-authored the Frisch-Peierls memorandum, the first technical exposition of a practical atomic weapon.
Dominick Itzi was stationed at Los Alamos with the Provisional Engineer Detachment (PED) from 1944 to 1946.
