Captain James Van Pelt

James Van Pelt served as a captain in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron of the 509th Composite Group. He flew in the Great Artiste as a navigator during the mission to bomb Hiroshima. Days later, he flew to Nagasaki as the navigator of Bockscar.
